Alexandre Chaput, Maureen Hasinoff, and RPG are contesting the elections results and have sent a letter to the SAC.
They intend to prove that Julie, Seamus, Roxanne, and Jean were part of a slate (which is against the SFUO's constitution). As far as I know, there is a handful of people who are coming forward about this 'slate'. I have no actual proof of anything, so I'll leave my thoughts and rumours aside until more info comes out. But I feel like RPG, Alex, and Maureen are just coming forward with what everyone has been thinking since the beginning of the elections...
If they can prove it, there could possibly be a by-election. Whee.
We will keep you updated as to what's going on.

this slate has been obvious for three years now... and it goes so much further than just being friends all running for the SFUO... we know they share resources and ideas.
i am glad that someone finally has the balls to out them.

- Wow. So polite. Julie and Rox were recruited last year, well Julie was transformed this year. Jean was recruited this year. And yeah, Seamus could have been involved in running a slate with these past few years with some help. I think you need to get a clue. If you don't think Francois and Frederico aren't involved then you need to open your eyes.

- Hells yeah the students have been manipulated. I am not saying that what those with the appeal are doing is any better, but what the slate is doing and has done is wrong. They deserve to be exposed.

And yes Julie and Roxanne, have been around for a year and therefore should know the Constitution. They were paid to protect it.

No candidate for a position on the executive or the Board of Administration may form a slate with one or more other candidates running for positions on the executive or the Board of Administration. To that effect, no candidate may:
a. spend money together with one or more other candidates; or
b. participate in any way in the campaign of one or more other candidates.

Yes yes RPG, time is not a factor. FYI I was responding to the comment by "Jaime" who believes this alleged slate to have been around for three years. Three years! Roxanne and Julie were not "recruited", they ran. In fact, Julie was FAR from recruited--she ran against Francois, who was the more left-leaning/action-oriented candidate. But oh, woe is the student body, Julie was "transformed" aka BRAINWASHED BY COMMUNISTS ZOMG LOLZ WTF! This three-year slate never existed, and Jaime has to let go of this conspiracy theory.
As for the supposed one-time slate you've denounced at the SAC RPG, well, I'm waiting. If there is any evidence (not fabricated) of a slate this year, it will be very unfortunate. From this voter's point of view, the incumbents acted ethically and respected the constitution--your so-called "slate" is nothing but a sore loser's grasping at straws. Cross-promotion, co-funding and running as a slate is QUITE different from any "evidence" you will find (I'm sure of this) and if the SAC finds in your favour it will be only because you took advantage of an ambiguously worded section of the constitution. If you want to know what running as a slate looks like, go visit our neighbours at Carleton U. It's a far cry from anything that went on during our own elections... if indeed anything even went on. I am very, very skeptical of your claim RPG.

the "resources" part has to be proven. as for ideas, they're free and they belong to everyone. sharing ideas is not prohibited by the SFUO rules (indeed, what an insult to free speech THAT would be)

And? In case you hadn't noticed, Loko isn't one of the accused. If Dubois ran a slate with Loko, it doesn't mean she ran a slate with the other accused candidates. Moreover, this does not substantiate your claim that the accused have been running a slate for "three years."
